Deltek Insight 2007 Annual Conference Concludes After Resounding Success

Major Product Launches, an Acqusition and Plans to Hold Insight 2008 Conference in Nashville Among the Highlights

LAS VEGAS (May 18, 2007) — Deltek, a leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organizations, today concluded its annual Insight Conference at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and announced its plans to hold next year's conference in Nashville. This year's Insight boasted a record number of business leaders, nearly 3,500, who are involved in winning, planning, executing and managing projects of all size and type attended the conference. Highlights of this year's conference include two major product announcements, an acquisition of a specialized consulting company and the introduction of a special executive track for C-level decision makers.

Attendees were introduced to major new versions of the company's flagship Costpoint and Vision solutions. The new Vision 5 delivers unprecedented new resource planning capabilities that enable organizations to more effectively balance the process of managing project budgets and resource workloads. Designed specifically for project-focused government contracting and commercial organizations, Costpoint 6 now offers new billing, forecasting and cash management capabilities critical to the project-focused businesses.

In addition, attendees learned of Deltek's acquisition of AIM, a provider of project management consulting services. Deltek acquired the expert resources, intellectual property and strong client base of AIM, a consulting services leader in schedule-driven earned value management (EVM) systems.

Representatives from small project-based firms to large, multi-national organizations came together at Insight to share ideas, network and attend lectures and education courses on Deltek's portfolio of project-based software solutions, best practices and industry trends. Long-standing customers joined Deltek representatives on stage to talk about their experiences with the company and its leading solutions.

The first full day of the conference featured a keynote address from Kevin Parker, chairman, president and CEO of Deltek, followed by an engaging talk from Patrick Lencioni, the founder of The Table Group, Inc. and the best-selling author of five books, including "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team." The second day of the show kicked off with a presentation from adventurer Jamie Clarke, who has summited Mount Everest and completed a camel-crossing of Arabia's empty quarter.

The partner pavilion was the largest ever and included nearly 40 industry-leading technology companies, services providers and industry organizations, such as American Institute of Architects, Aronson & Company, BEA Systems, Cognos, Contract Services Association, ePlus, Humphreys & Associates, Microsoft, NCMA, the Project Management Institute, the Society for Design Administration and the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

"Deltek hosts our annual Insight Conference as a forum for our customers and partners to collaborate and exchange insights on industry issues and the best practices for winning, planning and managing projects that drive outstanding business results. This year we showcased our most comprehensive conference program, which included a special executive track for C-level decision makers," said Bill Clark, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Deltek. "Deltek graciously thanks our sponsors for their support, our speakers for their compelling presentations, and our attendees for making this the most successful Insight User Conference."
